Splitter cables suck, I have never seen that DOESNT induce that problem.  You will probably find BOTH 360 and the PC are fuzzy but its more noticable on PC.  It may also be that the cable from the PC to the splitter is longer or of lower quality than the 360 cable, so its inducing more signal loss.  Remember you are usually doubling or more the length of the cable with a splitter so the quality of the cable is a LOT more important and each cable you are using will be of different quality.

Of course it may also be a fault with the splitter.
