Metal Gear Solid Hd Collection. 4:3 Screen Ratio Capable?

Wondering if I can play this in 5:4 or 4:3 aspect screen ratio.  Use a CRT monitor at 1280x1024 (looks way better than LCD's and no lag), but I'm worried it'll be letter boxed.  Could someone test this?

Really appreciate any input.

Meant to say I haven't bought it yet; hence the reason I'm wondering (could use a PS2 emulator instead).  BTW I tried to edit my first post to say this but couldn't.
