When i run my xbox 360 backup games I wish to stop my xbox 360 going onto live or checking information over the internet.

I know the obvious way is to unplug the ethernet cable from the router when using backup games.

But wondered if there is a way to do it securly via the xbox 360 dashboard.

As disconnecting the ethernet cable can be a pain when you want to stream movies.

I have created 2 profiles 1 for live and 1 for offline.

The offline profile i have setup to automatically sign in to the xbox

and this is the one ill be using for backup games

I have gone into console family settings and choose to block access to live their.

Is this enough or will ms still be able to connect to the net and detect games which are not original.

Please advise me
