Networking Issues
« on: September 09, 2006, 08:46:00 AM »

Many of you may say this is impossible but i assure you it's not as i have done this in the past and it was working until recently.

I have a thomson speedtouch 330 USB modem and a d-link di-524 wireless router.

A couple of days ago i ran a router configuration program which wiped all my current settings and now i can no longer access x-box live through either my x-box or my 360 due to this.

It took me a couple of days to find the information previously but i did and it worked but this time i'm having no luck finding it...

Now i know it's not possible to share the connection by connecting to the router as it doesn't have a usb input and the modem doesn't have an ethernet connection...

But i managed to do it in the past by configuring my router to ip - 192.168.0.2 and using my computer with the usb modem as 192.168.0.1 and using that as the gateway...

but they are several other settings i would need that i can't remember and can't find.

I'm  not very experienced at networking so i hope this information makes sense.

Thanks in advance for any information and if you need any more info about my settings etc. please let me know.

Regards
