SanDisk Cruzer Micro 512mb USB Flash drive works.

I used it to play mp3's off of.  You can't use it as a memory card or anything (at least to my knowledge and experience) which was kind of dissapointing.  If anyone knows how to use it to save games or what not, please let me know.

It worked flawlessly while trying to play music, though.

Well I have been waiting to brag about this little interesting tidbit i found.  I have a opticle mouse by starck its made by MS.  Well it will only light up (the opticle part as well as the blue line down the middle) when drivers are loaded for it.  I got bored and plugged it into my 360 a few nights ago and noticed that the lights turned on.  So i thought maybe its just a glitch or the lights are some how lighting up on their own (i like to think magic).

I did a test. i turned on the xbox with no controllers no usb devices not even a disc in the tray, except for the mouse. It lit up again. so I left it till it does the screen saver or darkens the screen whatever its called. and i moved the mouse.  it took me out of the screensaver.

So this leads me to beleive some sort of usb mouse driver is being loaded.

What it could be used for im not sure infers to me a web browser to come. or pc games that they forgot to take out some of the mouse code.

Someone else should try a few diffrent mouses becuase mine is a standard 2 button 1 scroll/button. Plus mine is a MS brand.

maybe it's just a by-product of the HID drivers that already allow you to use the keyboard?

or maybe they've just put it in there for now in case they decide to use it later on.

with the xbox, they didn't want anyone likening it to a pc hence no keyboard/mouse/vga support as standard. 360 has all three!

thanks for being bored Hashmire!

re: the topic, iPod Shuffle 512mb works just fine (i haven't installed the optional iPod support either). highly likely this has already been mentioned, but i'm not wading through all that!

Billy about the ipod thing i read it and i think it just allows something called the aac file format.  Sadly im to poor at the moment to buy one. But ive got my Zen.

And i just read through all the other sites usb threads and all of them say no mouses will work.  Makes me all cuddly inside knowing im the first. tongue.gif
