Usb Compatibility List
« on: November 27, 2005, 05:16:00 AM »

Hey start sticking in USB devices into the 360 and lets see what we can get working!

]==>Working<==[
- External Neuros Harddrive 20Gb
- SanDisk Cruzer Mini (512mb/1GB)
- Sony CyberShot (DSC-S60)

]==>Not Working<==[
- Logitech Webcam (Although no support for video chat yet, this may change)
- ADS EIDE->USB Drive Kit with Maxtor 20GB HDD (This worked on the original Xbox, so long as the drive in this kit was smaller than 4GB)
- Logitech Wireless Keyboard Mouse Combo

]==>Unconfirmed<==[
- Some rumors on the Xbox.com forum are that generic USB keyboards work for inputing text, I don't have one here to test with (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Please post your results and I will add to the post (can we still edit posts?!)

I got a Logitech USB keyboard to work, but it only works when entering text in the dash, like entering a credit card number for Live or making a new profile.

I tried a Western Digital 250 GB USB harddrive and it didn't work.

I also tried a 4G 20 GB iPod and an iPod Nano, both are obviousely working.

I'm really interested in thumb drives. If we can compile a list of various usb devices it'll probably save alot of people some hard earned $. I want to know if the plug and play wireless usb drives work. here's a link just for example.

My friend had one of these, I will see if it still has it and give it a try. I wouldn't hold out high hopes though!

I know this might be a pretty obvious one, but the MS Wireless keyboards work. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Just wanted to confirm it.

Also to confirm that some usb keyboards work with typing text, etc.

som1 should try a USB Hub, both powered(seperate powersupply) and unpowered, then check working devices behind the Hub, if this works we could place 1 in the back and have a wireless keyboard(once it has more use) and still use the wireless adaptor while keeping the 'no-wires' look
