Buy a router with more ports or buy a switch to add to your existing network. Connect both via ethernet.

This is due to the location of the router/Xbox 360 as opposed to a lack of ports.

It's the wireless connection, and there's not much you can do about it. Read this post for a detailed explanation.

Ya, I bought the wireless N adapter, wasted time getting the Xbox to actually connect in wireless N mode and once that was done, my speeds were still shit and I couldn't stream my 720p mkv files properly. So I said F it and bought a 50' ethernet cable for $18 and wired up the xbox and now everything runs nice and smooth.

ps. if anyone needs a Wireless N adapter, I got one for sale...
