Xdk Captured Movies
« on: December 27, 2004, 03:57:00 PM »

I was thinking of turning my Xbox into a debug box so I can take screenshots and movies ingame but I was wondering what the quality of the movies are like? I presume most of the vids released online by the game developers themselves are captured this way but they are almost always compressed or edited and all that.

So I was wondering has anyone here captured their own stuff and if so can you share then online so we can take a look at them?

I also have questions like what format do they capture in and are they captured in their native resolution depending on the game eg. 480, 720, 1080 etc. or are they dumped to your pc at 320x240 or something like that? Same goes for screenshots as well.

You can't take movies with the XDK....   ;)

Use a TV Tuner card with composite input for that.....

I've heard it will take movies, but they will not have any sound.
