Changing Emblems To Letters?

Is there a way to change your emblem to a letter(s) so that your name or perhaps a letter of your name appears over your head instead of you emblem when playing online through Xlink or XBC?  Im wanting to change my emblem to letters so my team mates can see who I am while playing because using the emblems is hard to tell who is who.
