Custom/new Maps

Im wondering if custom maps are avaible.  Has anyone ever looked into this?   I heard that there were new maps on LIVE, but i cant sign on...so that's a problem, also does anyone know if the maps have been released with the magazine? <

cool, i was just looking at the SC site and they were talking about custom maps for the PC verison, so i thought that there would be some for the xbox.  Also where might i find these new maps <
