Starwars Knights Of The Old Republic

i cant get game to run off hard drive (first time problem) i noticed a cd key file in it tho i wonder  if its related...game was buggy even off disk but i cant get default.xbe to launch it at all

i know this may sound stupid but i had prob to and was bout to give up but i looked in temp drives and noticed a strange file, it was a .rom file which i havent used anything for like hmmmm 3 months that uses .rom
i deleted it and tada worked, no more freezing
(was even freezing off dvd)
