I have never heard of this until I was browsing ebay (there are tons of them on ebay). Google brings up only four links to one website you can buy them. It seems like you pay about $325 no matter if it is on ebay or a regular merchant. they market it for use with DVD/VCD/VCR and game consoles. For $325 you would think it would be too good to be true but you never know. Does anyone know about this as I am tempted to buy one for my home theater. Below is the ebay link:

looks pretty cool i might get one if things check out actually. But these things worry me......

1.) 8 Hours if continuous working time

i guess this doesn't really matter cause i usually don't play games for 8 hours or watch the whole godfather trilogy at once.

2.) Lamp Life: 1000 Hours

what happens after 1000 hours? How much do new lamps cost. On second thought 1000 hours is a pretty long time to be watching TV but still.....

P.S. I'm assuming you could use it as a TV as well as long as you had it hooked up to a VCR or something else with a TV tuner in it. Am i correct here?

Don't buy these... they look like those shit projectors you pick up in Downtown Los Angeles for $10. It's not from a name brand, there is no speak of contrast ratio... meaning it's crap.
