wow good news  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I'm not sure if this is a general problem or it's just me missing something but last time I tried to play the previous version while using component cables and 720p it just didn't work all I got was a black screen although it worked like a charm when I changed to composite on 480i !!

well, I'm gonna try this one out and see if it works for me this time  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

anyway, thank you guys for this great piece of software  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pop.gif)

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does this emu allow running of games off of the original PSX discs?

If not, I don't intend to complain about it, I just wonder as the last time I tried a PSX emu it didn't have such support, you had to rip games first, but that was a few years ago.

I checked the link given for the official site, but that page appears to not have been updated since Aug 2004, so I suspect it won't tell me much about recent versions.

The discs must still be ripped first.

Excelent excelent excelent lol

Do you know some people will continue to work a little on this emulator ?
Because it make not work all games sad.gif
Like "Ken Fist of the North Star" who freeze after the begining like on PC sad.gif

Maybe with using some other new PC emulator code, it is possible to make them work correctly ...
Using PCSX code or other ? ...

I take it this was a relatively small change code wise?

I almost hate to ask, cause I'm guilty as charged, but would it be possible for you to make the source changes you made available somewhere?  That way when I release emus with the dual preview skins I can implement it as well.  You would be given credit, of course..

Or is it just the pcxsbox that was not working properly?  Either way I could use it.

@Darknior:

To the best of my knowledge no one has "seriously" worked on PCSX (of which PCSXBox is a port) for years now. Though I see on the official forums there is talk of "reviving" it. You could always try that build on your PC in order to test as to whether it's worth trying on the X-Box...

@madmab:

The modified source should be on X-Bins by now. But, it's a really, really minor tweak: It simply fixes the shortcut support that would've already been there by removing a few lines that shouldn't've been. To my knowledge, only this particular emulator had the bug; all of X-Port's other stuff already worked correctly.

Bomb Bloke had already informed me of the fix and when I have some time I'll update the associated file on Sourceforge.

Unfortunately this emulator just freezes at the main menu screen. The screen is also off colour as if running in the wrong region.  Anyone any ideas what the problem might be?

Have you used PCSXBox on your console before? If so, which version?

hey ya'll.
been messing with this emu today.
i have an iso of dark forces and it won't load up.  i see in the compatibility list it says it runs good, i enabled the dark forces fix and everything.
so far nothing...its just a black screen.  the xbox isn't frozen, i can still get to the xport menu.

any ideas?
