What file format and convention do thumbnails for movie files need to be in for XBMC?

It looks like they have made it different to XBMP.

I'd kinda like to know also. I made several divx DVDs that contained thumbs readable in XBMP, but they don't show up in XBMC. If it is a different format for XBMC it'd be cool to make it backward compatible w/ those from XBMP.
