Xbmc For Xbox - April 21st 2008 Svn Rev12746 Build *repack*

Got a weird one with this build (the repack). Fresh install this time, freezes going back a level or trying trying to play a file while content scanning.  Only error in logs are as follows:

CODE
08:10:39 M: 48263168   ERROR: unable to load Q:\skin\Project Mayhem III\language\english\strings.xml: Failed to open file at line 0
08:10:39 M: 48263168   ERROR: unable to load Q:\skin\Project Mayhem III\language\English\strings.xml: Failed to open file at line 0

and at end of file a bunch of these (even though it's is actually getting the data):

CODE
08:11:46 M: 27451392   ERROR: CIMDB::InternalGetDetails: Unable to parse web site
08:11:54 M: 27074560   ERROR: CIMDB::InternalGetDetails: Unable to parse web site
08:12:03 M: 27066368   ERROR: CIMDB::InternalGetDetails: Unable to parse web site

Nope, not a bug - check your sources.xml file, and remove the entries in the File Manager section. XBMC has been updated with auto-detection of mounted drives, so it's listing what it detected, and then what the source file says to show. This "problem" has been around for quite a while.

Easier just to use the white button on the dupes to remove them.

First one is a non issue its just saying that pm3 dosn't have its own language file to translate like other skins because all its text is in the main xbmc one instead

Second not my expertise smile.gif

Not sure if this was brought up with the last build, but is anyone having issues with the Allmusic scraper coming up with proper results for a lot of their albums?  I know it's not completely broken because a few of my albums pulled down good info.  Everything has good tags and proper spelling and until recently, whatever was in place to pull down album info worked for about 99% of my albums, now it's less than 50%.

Wow I don't know what to say. Possibly the coolest display is gone. I cant believe the Juke box style CD display was removed from music view:.

Now it looks ugly!

I'm sorry, I more than appreciate the work but it seems as if they are getting worst. The build that came out about 3 builds or so ago was great! I honestly never had any real problems or complaints till the last 2.

bloodfin, nice thing is that whiners like you can gfy and we do not care. you're baseing EVERYTHING on your habits, not logic. you are free to do any mods you want, you are NOT free to come in here complaining. you are ofc free to argue our decisions.

and save me from the fake 'but i really do appreciate the work, really' comments. we all look through them, you don't appreciate jack. you wouldnt say things like now it looks ugly if you did

Narrow minded prick!

Think what you want a$$ hole. I am here to base my opinion. I love XBMC and back it all the way but I just wish I had the damn option that I had in a recent build! Whats wrong with that? And yes now it does look ugly as in the view, something so very simple that I forgot to say I could live with since I look at it for a whole milla second to determine what I wish to watch or listen to! JERK! In my opinion yes the other types of view look ugly but how the hell could that hurt someones feelings so much? Get oustide BRO!

Believe what you want dick and GFY (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)  buddy, since when can any of that be called whining and how can you honestly see through me?

Basing opinions? Yes! Whining and not appreciateing???
Besides that, how are my habbits playing any role at all in the problems, in fact THE SAME problems that others have experienced?

On to another note. Someone tell me if they have this same problem. When I select to use my own Artist thumbs for music it lets me select them but they dont show up in the Library with the names of the Artists.

Anyone else have this problem?

whining = complaining and NOT GIVING A BLOODY REASON WHY.

'it looks ugly' is whining. 'i liked the old view because it offered blablabla' is not.
it looks ugly is based on your completely subjective view = your habits.

i'm not offended, as it isn't my work. i just won't take your bloody hypocracy. it costs you nothing to lie and say you appreciate things. it costs us shitloads of time to make this application.
if you appreciated (in this case jezz's) the work that goes into making this application (according to you) progressively worse, you would choose your words more carefully.

you are the FIRST to say that it 'now looks ugly'. that's the ONLY thing you say in your post. that and whining that 'poor me, now i have to go back to an older version'. how the eff is this appreciating anything?

And to be honest I got no idea what he is talking about xbmc has never had a "Jukebox" view and if you are refering to the 3D list one in the library then its still there but in albums as it was originally intended.

Once you stop insulting xbmc devs make your case for why you need it and what it is

Hahahaha Like I said, Narrow minded LOL what a looser everything yo just said about me is biased to the fullest extent!! Everyone mark down today on the calenders, please do not offend spiff this happens to be the time of the month he is on the rag. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

How can you consider it a lie? You must be one cynical paranoid prick as well as a narrow minded one. Everything just has to be lies don't it? And you call me out, whining? I like how some people call some other people as being a whiner with a such whining response! lol!!!

I'm done with you just so you know why I don't reply to your next anal response about how much of a liar I am and so you can feel such accomplishment by getting the last word.

I really just wanna know why the thumbs arent working and if I can go back and use that viewing option with this build.
Thank you!

Yes thank you that is one I was refering to. I saw it explained as a juke box style thats all.

I also am used to it being in Artists as I usually select what I wanna listen to by the Artist them self.

I also had no original intentions on offending anyone.

Thank you! And is it in any way possible to get it back into the Artist view?
