Now, I wonder --- All Evox M8 Plus BIOS are already compatible
to HD's larger than 137GB (like the one I want - 250GB)?
No, they aren't. My Xbox is quite recent (bought in 2006) and its
ModChip BIOS was not able to use a HD larger than 137GB. So, unless
everyone else have flashed your bios before, it is like to NOT accept
larger HDs too. You will need to flash it!

Some time ago, from my retail HD I got some BIN files from C partition
before installing a 40GB disk --- They are called BIOS.BIN (256Kb), DISK.BIN, etc.
I kept them saved in my PC as backup.
Yes, the BIOS backup is already in my PC HD as backup, however I noticed
that its size (the bin file) is 1024Kb, and not 256Kb as I stated before. Anyway,
I did not use this backup for nothing until now.

Yes, it is possible - however this will not "cut off" the intro! I mean - you
will yet need to wait the same time (12 seconds) of the flubber
animation looking to a black screen (I did not removed the animation,
but I read posts of people that did it.)

Well, the Flashing tools on the latest AID disc did not worked for me.
It gave me the ERROR READING BIOS FILE message. My ModChip is
a Alladin Something (Live, Advance, XT, I don't know...) and the perfect
solution was to use the SPIDERCHIP REFLASH CD - it does work for ALLADIN
CHIPS perfectly. And it is easy to find a ISO on Google.

5. ---- Now the question --- can I so use AID tools to flash the new BIOS to my chip?
I think there is no danger, since I am flashing my actual OWN BIOS,
and no some downloaded one...

In the end, I have not used to manually flash any BIOS.
Just booted my Xbox with the SPIDERCHIP REFLASH CD and it
solved all troubles.

M8plus_16.bin and M8plus.bin, both with 256Kb each.
The Info says M8plus_16.bin is the one for 1.6 and 1.6b Xboxes.
Opening it in my EvTool, I get the very same screen
as when I did open my backuped BIOS.BIN (only the BIOS MD5
is different.)
