Av Cable Check With X2 4977
« on: July 23, 2003, 01:18:00 PM »

According to the nfo file, the no AV cable check feature was introduced in X2 4976

I have 4977 on my v1.2 PAL xbox and it still FRAGs without the AV cable.

Is this a known bug, or has this feature simply been broken since?

Anyone actually got it running without the AV cable?

Yeah it was working for me too - I got no video out of my onboard S-Video port, however. (Plus I hate having to look at a flashing LED! )

Reason is that Pin 6+18 on the AV connector is not grounded - grounding this on the motherboard removes the need to have the AV cable plugged in - no FRAGging and good S-Video out.
