lingenfr, thanks  I have aeon and quite like it but where do I get rand al thors mod??

Found and tried the aeon mod , its good work and I can see the appeal of aeon but have to say that for me xTV  is still my favourite skin  which if it can be modifies to work with mythtv would be close to perfect.

xTv has been modified to work with xbmcmythtv. The mods are available at:

www dot frooby dot net

look at the bottom of the page.

This really has nothing at all to do with the xtv skin...

You don't need any file for the xbox to output to 720p, all you need is the correct cables and a tv which supports such resolution... make sure the cables are hooked up to the tv correctly. And go into the xbox default dash to make sure that those resolutions are enabled.

...out of curiosity, what files did you think you needed? Also you should perhaps put up a link so we can see what cables you are using.

i have cable that has a component and optical out on it (can't remeber the name, bought it off ebay)

how do i go about enabling the resolution? if i go on the orginal setting is doesn't load up...or am i getting confused (as i thought XMMC was my main dashboard...)
thought i needed Enigmah...?

xbox default dashboard as in the green one that comes in a non-modded xbox... usually in the c: partition you will have an xbox.xbe and if you push that from the file manager than it should boot up. If you have a soft mod, than my advice may be innacurate, I am unfamiliar with soft mods and their differences.

You might need to use Enigmah if you've got a PAL xbox - you use that to change it to NTSC - then, as competes2win says, go into the original xbox dash and enable the hi-def modes in the video settings menu.

Dont get your hopes up ptipton. This skin seems to be dead.(Unless Jezz_X proves me wrong? )

It is not dead, I have had an extreme change in lifestyle recently with having basically a wife and 2 kids thrown into my life and us living in seperate houses it has become very difficult to manage them, a full time job, and my almost non-existent social life. I do skin work whenever I am home, although it has not been on this skin since I started my latest endeavor. So to sum it up, I would not consider this skin dead. Just sleeping for the moment.

Oh, I added the new busy dialog images to the svn and updated the download link in my sig with credit given to Wangle.

Ouch, no-one likes viruses.

Yeah I'd say just get TortoiseSVN and download from the xTV svn page directory.

You'll find the link easy enough just a google search.

xTV is the nuts.

CODE

                     icon-video.png
                     icon-video-blur1.png

                    ActivateWindow(MyVideoFiles)
                    !Skin.HasSetting(movie-library)

                     icon-video.png
                     icon-video-blur1.png

                    ActivateWindow(MyVideoLibrary,MovieTitles)
                    Skin.HasSetting(movie-library)

                     icon-tv.png
                     icon-tv-blur1.png

                    ActivateWindow(MyVideoLibrary,tvshowtitles)
                    !Skin.HasSetting(tv-library)

                     icon-youtube.png
                     icon-youtube-blur1.png

                    XBMC.RunScript(Q:\scripts\YouTube\default.py)
                    Skin.HasSetting(home-youtube)

                     icon-music.png
                     icon-music-blur1.png

                    ActivateWindow(MyMusic)

                     icon-programs.png
                     icon-programs-blur1.png

                    ActivateWindow(MyPrograms)

                     icon-photo.png
                     icon-photo-blur1.png

                    ActivateWindow(MyPictures)

                     icon-weather.png
                     icon-weather-blur1.png

                    ActivateWindow(Weather)
                    Skin.HasSetting(home-weather)

                     icon-settings.png
                     icon-settings-blur1.png

                    ActivateWindow(50)

                     icon-disc.png
                     icon-disc-blur1.png

                    XBMC.PlayDVD
                    System.HasMediaDVD

This is what controls the content of the list. Just edit the <onclick></onclick> command you want to replace and refer to this list of built in commands.

thats where i get stuck. i want it to go to my games folder so do i just type the path to it, in my case F:Games or is there something else i have to edit?

You can't just make a button open a folder. You have to make the button open the appropiate window and source. So if you wanted it to go straight to your games you would have to use some thing like <onclick>XBMC.ActivateWindow(Programs,Games)</onclick> Assuming the name of the source that contains your games is called "Games".

Again, if you read the list of built in commands a little better everything will be explained. The wiki is very helpful, I have learned alot from it.

I have added an option to show fan art as the background while browsing tv shows and added a movie trailers button to the "dialog" in the video windows that contain the view, sort by,etc. buttons.
