Regarding the new TECH Download/Update Script, does this work, when XBMC is used as the dashboard?

I shouldn't have any problems, should I?

Thanks for the build. Unfortunately theres a couple of bugs:
  • My xbox hangs when I try to manually put values in for the network address. Nothing works so I have to do a cold reboot.
  • When I play a dvd sometimes the remote/keyb/joypad all get locked out and I cant stop it yet the dvd carries on playing. Have to do a cold reboot.
Any chance of these being fixed? My last working build was a couple of builds ago.

ps. I did a complete clean install.

Is fan art support in this build, or do I need to wait for the next build?

Thanks

Anyone notice any trouble with flv files?  I'm trying to play these:
http://www-tc.pbs.or...lv/2608/ch1.flv
... through ch26.flv.

Although the audio is played back at normal speed, it seems like the video runs at double that or more, causing (obviously) extreme a/v sync problems.  Seeking in the file momentarily fixes the sync but not the speed difference, so it immediately starts desyncing again.  The .flv file is being played from the xbox hdd and other types of video file don't have this problem.

Any ideas?  Thanks in advance...

It's like that on mine too. It happens in both DVDplayer and Mplayer.

Do you happen to know if previous builds had the same problem?  The only other one I've tried was 2.0.1, which didn't play flv video at all, only audio...

I haven't upgraded to this build yet, though I did get the last one. It works at least as well as any other has (no tracking in MPlayer, DVDPlayer locks XBMC's controls with certain files, but other then those two things they play fine).

Haven't tried the files you linked, though.

Today I acquired a slightly more recent build and most videos seem to play find now. Also that mplayer that was posted earlier in this thread looks like it was from last year according to the information in XBMC. The one I have now is MPlayer XBMC SVN-r10070-4.1.2 (Mar 20 2008 - 23:29:47).
that mplayer if you're interested:

Hey, i have the following problm with all past releases:

whenever i want to start some media in the  internet (scripts and plugins), it always tells me that "Error: Playlist can´t be opened".

When i install a very old version, the scripts all work, but i can´t install the plugins cause the funtion wasnt integrated yet.

So there has to be some problem with the new xbmc reading playlists, does anyone have an idea what this could be?

Thanks very much for helping!

I dont have IMDB. I have the TV content and adult movie content but no regular movie content to select from in the set content directory!

I am also having trouble with setting the time. It gives me the wrong time and when I click on set time it freezes up.

For me too. The Same things don't work under Win/Linux too. T3ch, a minor release? (with new mplayer..)
