I've downloaded 2 versions, the 1st January release and 1st February release, from the 'official' ftp server (the xbins reccomended one), and I've not been able to open either. It keeps saying "unexpected end of archive" with WinRar, and in the box it just has 'skinning.txt'. What am I doing wrong? Have I downloaded a bad version? Help, please. Thanks

Usualy that eror means that your archive is corrupted. Downloaded xbmc-2004-02-01.rar and unpacked it just fine. The size of this archive is 17'712'751 bytes. Make sure that you have the same size.

I dont get it, why are they corrupted? Is there anywhere else I can get them from besides the ftp channel?

clear out your cache/temp folders, and retry...yer not on dialup are you

I'm guessing you guys are using FlashFXP right? And it's cracked, yeah? That's your problem. When u crack FlashFXP it makes you think everything's working then you get that error when unpacking the files... Try using SmartFTP, it's almost as good.

If you're not using FlashFXP, then I have no idea!
