Jtagging of any style won't work on a console with that high of Dashboard.  Security has been built into the various Dashboard updates to prevent jtag.  Consoles have to be real early to catch the jtag.

There are guides out there that let you know what CB and Dashboards can still be jtagged.  You are out of luck with jtag for 16203

An RGH method has to be use to exploit a Nand with this high of Dash.  You will probably need to use the R-Jtag kit by Team Xecuter.

Ditch the LPT cable.  Way old school method.  Can be buggy too.

The R-jtag kit will come with a JR-P v2 programmer.  Real nice - works great.

Use J-runner  ... the build designed for r-jtag.  Its build number is above 289.

Now - write your original Nand dump back to your Falcon.  Remove all the jtag wiring.

Review the R-jtag tutorials closely.  Then start over

You're gonna need extra kits for this model.  And the ability to solder well.

The console model is probably the Corona version 4.  On these models, MS has developed further encryption to keep basic drive flashing down.

The Nand has to be dumped and Xell loaded to get the keys.  Its pretty much RGH'ing a console without creating or writing an image.

You need: a Read/Write kit for a Corona, a Post Fix Adapter, the J-runner App (build 289), and either a DGX or CoolRunner glitch board.

And you will also need either a LTU or LTU 2 board.  So yeah - this process costs more for this model.  But, its worth it.  Oh- you will also need the appropriate version of JungleFlasher too.

Good soldering skills are vital.  Kits can be found at Xconsoles.  I recommend only Team Xecuter products.  They are the most reliable.  Plus they have all the tutorials online.

Newbie Chat / Can I Use These Items For Flashing My Slim Lite-on
« on: November 02, 2013, 05:42:00 PM »

You are kind of mixing and matching some things that don't quite pair together.

First - what model of dvd drive do you have?  LiteON 16d4 or 16d5  .... or a Hitachi ?

If it is Liteon 16d4  ... from there you need to determine if it is MXIC or Winbond style.  Winbond is the only style that uses the Kamikaze tool.  And Kamikaze takes a practiced hand.  If you have never done any delicate soldering - then you are not ready for that tool.

MXIC uses a different tool hack method.  But both can use the replacement write able pcb.

If you have the Liteon 16d5 or the Hitachi - then that's a whole different ball of wax.  You will have to Nand dump and partially RGH the console.

So if you have a 16d5 - you need to know the model style of your console motherboard.

A good basic flashing tool to have is the X360 USB pro version 2.  Great tool.  An all in one.

Give me some exact info  .... and I will get back to you.

You can also go to Team Xecuter to look over various tutorials.  You might get mixed up - so be careful

Newbie Chat / What Are My Options For This 360 Slim ?

Given that Slim

You're gonna have to rgh it.  ( Reset Glitch Hack)  ... use only Team Xecuter products.

Your Slim is most likely the Corona motherboard.  Those take a little extra work.  You've got a small project there.

I might be able to help you on the physical repair.

It would be my attempt to solder in a new header connector.  But first, could you post some pics?

I have done repair jobs for many xbox scene members.  Here's a link to my repair service thread.' class='bbc_url' title=''>

Newbie Chat / Recommendations For A Usb Loader.
« on: July 03, 2013, 06:11:00 PM »
Xkey and Wasabi are USB loaders.

Modchipcentral can give you more info about them

I think if you were to TX - rgh your console that would also allow for USB hard drives.

Xkey and Wasabi are a little more Noob friend, but still require some know how with firmware bins

Newbie Chat / Need Help On My Flashed Console From A Year Ago.
« on: June 05, 2013, 02:02:00 PM »
You have to have interface gear and JungleFlasher App to know what firmware is dropped to your dvd drive.

If you were playing games of late 2012 and early 2013 just fine  ... you probably have LT +3.0

If you are slighty tech savvy and a quick learner  ... you will be able to pick up the process
Slim drives also offer a higher degree of challenge

The other option ... if you live in or around a major city, there are generally those out there offering Flashing service for 360.  Craigslist and so on

Since you have the update stall with the new Dead Island ... guessing your console dashboard is 15774 or 16197.  It just needs to go to 16203

This next option  ... NOT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED  .... you can take the update from the Dead island game.  This 16203 update may not wreck the custom firmware.

Wait for others to clime in on that.  Not certain is 16203 update has been deemed 'Safe'

If you want more input from me - let me know

Newbie Chat / Need The Right Hardware To Flash My Drive
« on: May 23, 2013, 04:54:00 PM »
What are you trying to do exactly?  Reflash the drive or fix the drive?

It does depend on your exact problem.  Did you take an MS update recently and then you couldn't play your Halo back up anymore or did it just stop reading?

Does it read retail ones?

Maybe your FW needs to be redone.  Or maybe the optic needs to tweaked or replaced.

And when learning to flash drives - I don't recommend starting with a LiteON first.  It requires more work.  And a steady hand.  Samsungs and BenQ's are great for starting practice.  Just some advice.

My advice  ... and I'm not the super expert in rgh.

You have your stock nand dumps - yes.?  Do a retail write back to stock.
This will remove Xell.  Remove the CR3.  You should restore normal boot up at this point.

Begin the process again.  Double check all the location joints.

The other thing I am wondering about ... is the CR3 - that device might just be for the Slim consoles.
You might just want the CoolRunner rev C.

And the soon to be coming TX glitch board .... R-Jtag  ... will be the superior choice

Newbie Chat / Next / Latest Mod Suggestion
« on: May 12, 2013, 02:59:00 AM »
My suggestion:  install a Coolrunner rev C - with a DeMon.

xkey is interesting.  But no homebrew.  No emulators.  No other extra frills.
Its way over priced for the single feature it offers.

TX will be releasing R-jtag soon.  That will be another option to consider.  Also can pair with Demon

And by the way, I am an excellent solderer.  hint, hint

Newbie Chat / Phat Rgh Dash 2.0.15574.0 J Runner 288
« on: April 28, 2013, 11:51:00 PM »
I don't think so.  Too many applied security patches to a phat console at 15774.

But there is some hope.  TX will be releasing R-Tag in the next few months.  They claim it will allow for rgh for any HDMI phat console at any Dashboard.

It might require another style of Nand programmer - might.  And most likely another glitch board.

Double check on your secondary error code.  Just asking.  There is a huge difference in a 1 RROD and a secondary error code of 0001.

Please make certain which you have

Once someone I was helping, thought they had a 0002.  But really had a 0020.  Very different.

If you have a true 0001 - they are very fixable.

With a 0001, a mosfet (type of transistor) is failing on your main board.  Could be a few electrolytic caps too.

If you have good soldering skills you can fix this.  If you don't - then you will have to find someone who is capable

But come to think of it .... if your 360 is on for 2 minutes - then you probably don't have the 0001

Come back with more details

Newbie Chat / How To Jtag Virgin Xbox With 6167 Dash To Current 16202 Dash
« on: February 19, 2013, 08:27:00 AM »
Team Xecuter web pages and their tutorials will probably help you.

J-runner is the big app everyone is using now.  It handles jtag and rgh.

Jtag isn't dead yet.  It's just that most consoles are above 13599 dash now.  So they have to resort to CoolRunner

Newbie Chat / Help With Understanding Nand Reading
« on: November 11, 2012, 05:22:00 PM »
First off .... not a complete and total noob

Done lots of repair work and some modding.

I am real comfortable with soldering, component identifying, and flashing Dvd drives.

I know that I need to buy a NandX or a JR programmer.  And setup the wire installs.

I need to know what more I need for just a Nand read / dump.  What software apps and a how to?

I just need to grab the dvd key from the Nand ... that's all.  The console doesn't have to be modded.  The owner fried the dvd drive, so JungleFlasher can't detect it.

Honest help will be appreciated
