Xbox Bioses / Av Cable Check With X2 4977
« on: July 23, 2003, 03:18:00 PM »
According to the nfo file, the no AV cable check feature was introduced in X2 4976

I have 4977 on my v1.2 PAL xbox and it still FRAGs without the AV cable.

Is this a known bug, or has this feature simply been broken since?

Anyone actually got it running without the AV cable?

If you're using a real old bios, you may need to patch the xbe to retail.

Otherwise, just make sure you copy all the proper files over.

Yeah, known issue.

I'm working on it.  The problem is that the pixel ratio of the source (PAL16x9) is so far away from square, and when you rotate by 90 degrees you invert it, so these have a very large difference.

Clearity does a similar thing with the buttonscroller.  Check how Smokehead does it - basically he just has a bunch of controlgroups that show when a different button has focus in the scroller.

Not unless you are willing to write the code to do so.

Some of the "simple" effects such as crop and rotate are probably where I'd start if I were doing it.

1. No idea - I'm sure people have hacked PM3 up before - try searching the forums here and the official forums.

2. Yes, it's possible.  You just need to open up MusicVisualisation.xml (in PAL folder of PM3 most probably - check the PAL16x9 and use that one if it already has one there) and find the image control with the thumb (<info>MusicPlayer.Thumb</info> and change the <width>, <height> and <posx>, <posy> etc.)

This seems like a nice "skin mod" tutorial for the online manual - please type up what you did and I'll add them to the official manual.

Use the music library.

It's setup in exactly the same way, but is way, way nicer, and yes it remembers the view type based on level.

Press WHITE.

Only in library view obviously!

FTP in and create a new folder within the emulators folder.

Alternatively do the same via XBMC's filemanager.

obc42 is used for the DISPLAY button on the standard remote.

Either remove the mapping of this button from keymap.xml, or use a different obc code.

And to shutdown immediately, just use the shutdown command.

1. It's a week old, literally.

2. It's already better.

3. Not sure about gapless playback - it's still in it's infancy, but let's just say that the chances of gapless playback with this player are about a million times higher than with mplayer.  Ofcourse, the chance of it with mplayer is so extremely close to 0 that this may not make much difference 'tongue.gif'

XBMC for Xbox / Trouble Playing Tv Rips..
« on: December 04, 2003, 01:16:00 AM »
Please check that the files are not OpenDML files - mplayer, and XBMC cannot handle these files.  If they are not OpenDML, try playing them from the XBox harddisk and see if they have the same problem.

BTW:  Modding an XBox + Timeshifting a TV show is fair use in the US, and is not illegal in many other countries.  Also, who said anything about using a stolen XDK?  Surely a second hand XDK (available off ebay for instance) would do the trick?

XBMC for Xbox / Help Compiling

Check that there is no spaces in the directory path to XBMC - that may be the reason.

Otherwise, look at the solution file in a text editor and that should show the paths to the other projects.  Some of them may be wrong.

Hope this helps.
