Newbie Chat / Moving Saves
« on: October 13, 2014, 07:05:00 PM »

Yes. If they're stored on the hard drive or internal memory, you can move them using any compatible USB memory stick. You will have to format the USB drive in order to use it, but afterward the Xbox will treat it as normal storage and will allow you to copy to and from the USB drive.

As long as the dashboard is updated (since you said it's updated, you should be OK), you'll be able to use a Kinect.

It's a plug-n-play situation with hard drives. That will work fine.

Sorry for the late reply. Not sure how I missed this one.

If I was to guess without any testing or evidence, it's an issue with your display.

I don't believe scaling can be turned on or off.

You will be able to recover the keys, but you will not need 3 packages. Depending on whether or not you need the QSBs, you might need to order two extra sets of those, but otherwise you'll be able to do all 3 with one set.

Newbie Chat / 360 System Files And Updates Etc. - What's Stored Where
« on: September 30, 2013, 03:28:00 AM »
It's a mixture. Yes, there's internal storage that contains system files, but some files (data like avatars) are also stored on system storage, like a memory unit or hard drive. When a new update is released, the internal storage is overwritten where applicable, removing any need for significant amounts of space.

You will not to do anything special for the system to work after a hard drive install. Everything will work just as it did before.

Newbie Chat / Getting Back Into The Swing Of Things
« on: September 28, 2013, 03:00:00 PM »
1. Yes.
2. Optical Disc Drive Emulators. xk3y, Wasabi360, etc.
3. Not with backups. That's a violation of the ToS and ToU. Such talk, much like piracy, is not permitted here. If you want to use backups, you need to use them offline only.

Newbie Chat / Copy Dlc From Online Xbox To Rgh
« on: September 28, 2013, 12:23:00 AM »
Yes, it can be copied. You'll need software that can read the disc drive, but that's rather simple. (XTAF GUI, Buffalo, lots of others.) The file structure is very basic. You'll just need to know the TitleID and get the right DLC folder. Finding info on the folder names and such should be pretty simple with Google's help.

Let us know if you need more guidance than that.

Newbie Chat / Which Way To Go With My Xbox
« on: September 25, 2013, 01:35:00 PM »
1. Piracy talk is explicitly banned here. If you want to discuss modding, you cannot be using it for piracy. If you're going to pirate, you best take your questions elsewhere.
2. Once you're banned, that's it. No going back.

Newbie Chat / Bricked My 360(wrong Nand)
« on: September 24, 2013, 01:27:00 PM »
You need a programmer soldered to the motherboard to reflash the TSOP. If you don't have one, you'll need to either buy one or ship it off to someone who has one.

Newbie Chat / Xbox 360 Black Screen
« on: September 23, 2013, 01:36:00 PM »
It's been too long since I've flashed a console so my memory is failing is this regard, but I believe the issue is caused by the wrong SMC. Basically, after you flashed the console, if you didn't unplug it from the wall, some of the code that was in the NAND previously can still be used. If you've flashed an image with some bad parts, it might not show initially because the console will still be using it from the previous image. When you unplugged the console, the console was cleared and had to load from the NAND again, causing it to fail to boot.

tl;dr: you flashed an incorrect image to your console and will need to hook up a programmer to fix it.

Newbie Chat / Jtag Xenon Not Switching On After Update
« on: September 23, 2013, 01:32:00 PM »
Likely just a bad flash. I have had that happen several times. The image you've built might be bad, so prepare to reflash a few times to test it out. I believe if you use your old NAND dump, the options should be automatically filled correctly with GUI image builders like J-Runner.

There's no other way. You must reflash to stock before updating.
