Xbox360's Multimedia Features / Divx On 360?
« on: February 04, 2020, 03:06:00 PM »
You will need media center if you want to stream any video.  Then you can use that transcode 360 to view your divx files instead of converting them all

Arcade Player
-Its when you purchase Geometry Wars and play it.  You get the achievement next time you play PGR3.

Track Builder
-Build and save 10 tracks

You can see descriptions of them on the xbox guide menu.

man, that power button is sweet.  Is that thing on the bottom a fan or what?

The only ones that will work on ur pc are the wired ones.

They arent even talking about a 360.  The tool they are using is for the original xbox.  Also in the article it says they arent using dev kits.

The cyclic redundency error usually means the drive is having troubles reading the media (ie. scratches, etc.)  In this case there is a fix for it so i guess its not bad media.

When the play and charge kit is plugged in, the controller is still a wireless controller.  The kit is just to charge the batteries that are in the controller pack, nothing more.  It wont be as easy as just making some drivers for the controller because you will still need something on the pc that will transmit data back and forth with the controller.  You prob wont ever see the wireless controllers working with the pc.

Kinda suprised that MS couldnt have told you that....

General Software Discussion / Is It Wise To Update My Xbox 360?
« on: July 11, 2006, 12:56:00 PM »
Are you doing this through live?  You will get an update everytime you put an Xbox 1 game in.  Taking this update is the only way to play.  The only updates you want to be weary of are the dashboard updates.  (I dont think those have cause dvd hack problems yet)

I noticed also that it loads your profile before it exits the boot up screen.  Very cool.  No more waiting for it to log in.

Can I recommend just getting a cheap router/switch?  Something like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833127013' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>this
if you dont have a router or something like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16833124005' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>this if you already have a router.  I
know you prob. dont want to spend money on these cause internet connection
sharing is cheaper, but this will save you tons of headaches.

Why not try using a cheap switch?  That way you can bypass all those computer settings.  I have never had a problem with that....
