Newbie Chat / Mod Help
« on: December 19, 2015, 11:20:00 PM »

Does it play a retail game disc? It could be that it was firmware flashed at one point years ago then it received the dashboard update that flashed it back to a newer stock firmware.

Newbie Chat / Homebrew For 360 To Back Up My Original Xbox Games?
« on: May 02, 2015, 10:10:00 AM »

Yes you can with JTAG or RGH mod. BUT...you may not realize that Microsoft lets you copy the drives data to the hard drive and when you play the game it will only read the data from the hard drive instead of the game disc. You will however have to have the game disc in the drive while playing.

Newbie Chat / Updating A Flagged/banned Modified 360 ?
« on: October 06, 2014, 03:14:00 PM »

You will need to pull the drive info from the firmware on the drive so you can find out what drive model it original had. Since it is a Jasper it is likely going to be a Liteon or possibly BenQ.

The updated flashed your drive to a new stock firmware. Your drive is no longer modded.

You will need to mod it again with LT+ 3.0 firmware.

Newbie Chat / Capacitor Fell Off

The system runs really hot now, I think it is because of the missing capacitor.
Should I send it to microsoft? It hasn't been opened and everythings in place (apart from the capacitor of course) and still has 3 months warrenty.

btw is there any way I can reregister a used console? The console is a xenon from 2005.

It has been open there for there is no ore warranty. Microsoft wont even touch it.

Try to solder the resister back in place. If not at least remove it so it wont rattle around and end up causing some other sort of short.

Newbie Chat / "new Protection" And Jtag
« on: May 17, 2012, 10:32:00 PM »
When a new dashboard comes out there will also be a new hacked dashboard to go with it soon after. And if you dont want to update your jtag then you can always just install the latest dashlaunch which will bypass any need for an update.

Newbie Chat / Is This Worth $650?
« on: April 26, 2012, 08:19:00 AM »
It is a Jasper. It would never rrod even if it wasn't water cooled.

Water cooling it does nothing more than add to your status so you can look cool saying "look it is water cooled!"

Is it worth $650? Personally I would say no but in truth it is worth whatever people are willing to pay for it.

Newbie Chat / Xbox360 Black Slime 250gb Consoles ?

Just wondering if there is easier ways to mod these consoles now compaired to the 2 methods of drilling out the chip to get the drive key ?

Getting the drive key is easy. The drilling or soldering a hole into the IC chip is only needed to flash the drive. You can also get a replacement PCB if that is not something you want to do.

Newbie Chat / 2tb External Tutorial
« on: April 18, 2012, 12:59:00 PM »
The Xbox itself will only see a USB drive that is setup as a memory card and up to 15gb.

Install the latest freeboot onto your internal hard drive then install the latest dashlaunch so your console will boot directly into freestyle dashboard. You can access, run and install games/apps onto your USB hard drive from there.

Newbie Chat / Windows And Slax Don't See Hitachi Drive
« on: March 26, 2012, 08:01:00 AM »
You should start by reading the Jungle Flasher tutorial.

And while you are at it toss that slax CD away and dont even think about using any wires on it.

Newbie Chat / Zephyr Vs Xenon
« on: February 15, 2012, 09:33:00 AM »
It is a little better as it has an HDMI port but other than that as far as reliability they both pretty much suck as much as any console could suck. But hey if it is free or close to free you dont have much to loose anyway right?

I did contact microSUCKS and they said they will fix it for $99. What a piece of **** they sell.

They probably would have fixed it for free had you not taken it apart and voided the warranty.

Since you already tried to replace the laser then I would say you messed something else besides the laser up.

Next step may be to get a new Slim drive then swap the PCB from your old drive to the new one.
