XBMC Python Scripting Forum / Script Posibility
« on: January 22, 2007, 10:20:00 AM »
I believe its certainly possible.  I think most of them use the same type of flash player that youtube and dailymotion use. They are likely just .flv files with the vp7 codec...which XBMC can play(just like the youtube script)...

The player link is here:

But it pulls the .flv from a bunch of javascripts, which I have no patience to try and figure out...

I was honestly hoping that the video downloader extension for Firefox could do it, so we could reverse engineer it more...but it doesn't.

I am going to find out which country the water hole is from and I will add it to the Webcams section of xbmc-strm-collection on . I just found some more water hole cams from Africa and I will add them aswell. If you don't want to check out from SVN you will be able to find it in the next streampack that will be released on tuesday. Download is available from the site.

"Nkorho Bush Lodge is situated in the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve and shares an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park. An African Jewel, with a diverse abundance of wildlife."

South Africa...

I honestly havent added it yet due to the fact that they changed the stream...and I wasn't sure how often they do that...been monitoring it. Go for it though if you want. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Grouse Mountain Bears:

Completely boring stream though...since its winter and they are hibernating'll get added though. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Some of the channels are in the stream pack, the ones that arent you can make .strm of and just add them. For more channels you could check the following page:

Now there's a site that could use a script. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Or you can just download the streampack here, and not worry about any script:

XBMC Python Scripting Forum / P2p Live Tv
« on: April 17, 2006, 04:52:00 PM »
Welp I guess it depends on which p2p tv technology you are referring to...

coolstreaming, peercast, and onion networks(swarm cast) are a few of them...and each uses a different mechanism to do the actual streaming...

I have used the peercast winamp plugin and had that output its own internal stream, and created a .pls for it to play on the xbox...

guess it really depends on what you are going for...i wouldnt expect support to be built into xbmc for any of these protocols...and i don't think any python script is gonna cut it...

a python script may be able to access an interface on a host computer that maybe pushed the video to you...sorta like a client running on your computer that has a webpage, and a link that would start the p2p stream and a client like vlc to push the forwarded stream to the xbmc script...

if it sounds like its over your head...its because it probably is.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/love.gif)

Possible a few ways...trying viewing the source for that window...if you cant...then try it with Firefox. I can sometimes view source with much greater ease with firefox, of course I have all popup windows start in new frames, and its easier to view the source via that method(the tool bar is still there etc etc)...

Otherwise better get out Etherreal and sniff the URL.

Been brought up a couple times:' class='bbc_url' title=''>' class='bbc_url' title=''>

More info can be found here though:;act=ST;f=22;t=13776' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://www.xboxmedia...ST;f=22;t=13776

this has to do with their streams though, much like the music streams we already have....

As for a script to peruse waiting...and too lazy to do it myself lol tongue.gif

i would prefer top gear... but what aobut the Comedy Central streams? Also, there is this site that has Adult Swim shows... would be cool the get one for that site.

Ooba can likely do all of those with some hacking...I think it already has comedy central

I dont know about streetfire...but ooba should be able to handle youtube, some just needs to make a proper menu.xml entry....i started one the other day but got was all foobar'd lol...wasnt even close to being right...

maybe if i get bored at work again, i'll actually read the ooba docs and go for it...until then get to work!!

you can do it big guy!  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
