Received it today, works as promised.
Also he knows how to protect things XD, he had like 6 layers of bubble wrap around the console so it was very well protected.
Really nice communications throughout the whole preocess, he had sent me the tracking code as soon as he had shipped it, shipping itself was very fast (4 days Sweden -> germany).

Highly recommended seller!

I did purchase a trusty Xbox from a forum member recently and the problem I do have is, everything runs just fine, Emulators, games, movies, everything!

today I wanted to play some GTA SA (PAL copy) so I ftp'd the game from my other Xbox to the trusty Box,
but it didn´t start, actually the Xbox just reboots when I click on the game or throw the DVD works on my other Xbox BTW

I tried other PAL games, they do work fine, GTA is the only one causing problems.

No matter if I patch it or not it doesn´t work, neither from DVD nor HDD, did anyone ever experience such problems/was anyone able to get GTA running?

XeXDK development / Beta Xedk (1816) Question
« on: October 01, 2011, 07:54:00 PM »
if you open a executable ine hex editor it either says XEX1 or XEX2 in the first line, if it's XEX1 you can run it on a Beta Kit.
Good luck finding some software though, it's possible, but really hard.

There are hacked recoveries out there to recover to a flash of 1888.0 or higher, but I personally never bothered to try and get one of those recoveries (there are very few people who have legit Beta recoveries by the way).

First thing you do is backing up your Nand by the way. simply use the SPI method. You do this because as for Beta Nands you never know if you might be the only one who has 1816 (I don't now anybody else ho got this flash) and you might want to preserve this for the future. Also you never now what happens so you might need the backup for yourself.

As for the KV, you should actually have keys, pre-18XX flash versions don't have keys/have zeros as keys.

If you can get your hands on a really early SDK then you could compile your own XEX1 stuff, I think someone ported Flash360 for Beta Kits or moddo the files to work on Beta Kits, if thats actually true then you could get your Nand Dump and your keys with that, but idk if thats true. Other than that and hacked recoveries you will only find "official" stuff I guess, if you can find any tongue.gif

General Software Discussion / Quake 4 Pre-production Debug Code For Xbox360
« on: February 03, 2020, 01:03:00 PM »
it definitely is, but as mentioned above I still didn´t manage to find any item sold by him that isn´t overpriced...
Still if you don´t care spending more on these than they are actually worth atm...go for it as you could get a lot of rare Items in a very short time....

But still if I were you I would first get a little more info on these and think about if you really need and and if you are willing to spend some money for it (you should have some deep pockets for a 360 XDK).

first off: This guy has some a few overpriced Items (found his auctions like 2 weeks ago).
Then you´d need a Demo Unit, Stress Kit or even an XDK to play these,
if you are lucky a Jtagged 360 may be able to play the code, sure it can play unsigned code, but it mostly only works for near final builds.

You could read out the Data with one of the Kreon FW compatible drives.

Although I´m not sure on how far we are allowed to discuss such topics here, so if you may want any more info --> drop me a PM and I will answer your questions as far as I can.

Xbox360 Case / Hardware Modding / Moving Rol And Eject Button
« on: March 25, 2011, 02:46:00 PM »
As I don´t own a Slim I can´t tell, but sounds like a FFC to me, count the pins, take some measurements and try to find an equal cable, there are some ways to put 2 or more of these cables together without an adaptor (using plexi to press 2 of these together wroks pretty well.

Still you could do it as I did to move the ROL of my normal Xbox360 for my suitcase Mod, just solder cables to the Motherboard and the ROL daughterboard directly (idk what the Slim ROL looks like so i can´t tell if it´s possible to do or not, although I guess it is possible pictures would may help)

Technical USB / Wireless / Network Forum / Steel Battalion Help
« on: April 26, 2011, 06:21:00 PM »
first off: wrong forum, Steel battalion is for the original Xbox.
2nd well, have fun if you are serious, I mean I could take a few pics of the inside (just have the middle part of one of mine opened for doing some mods anyways) so you would see that this definitely wouldn't be easy to do.

first off, is there no EDIT Button here or did I just not find it?!

the Problem appears to be solved, it had nothing to do with the CPU mod, it actually had to do with GTA PAL Copies not working on NTSC Systems due to region protection.....
Sorry for derailing the thread a bit.

Did anyone ever experience problems with starting a game at all?

I tried getting GTA SA to work, but it doesn´t even start, neither from HDD nor from DVD, not matter if it´s patched for 1.4 g and 128 RAM or not.

The console simply reboots, I also tried it with the X3 turned off, so that it uses the X2 Bios on the TSOP, but still, it simply reboots....

everything else works fine BTW (the GTA disc also works, tried it on another console...)

any suggestions are welcome

he still does them and he is using a P3
