off the top of my head, it looks like it is configured correctly. It's not outputting any resolution that the TV can't handle. Not sure what to say, the resolution war hadn't really been settled when the xbox launched so it might not want to output component unless it is in something greater than 480i
i think that by default the RGB will try to push 480p. if it works fine on your HDTV when it is set to 480p + and doesn't work on your HDTV when it is set to 480i, then you know that it's the output that is the problem
There should probably be a new soft mod disk made up that removes Shadow C, or at least recommend that it not be the default anymore.
I was under the impression that the dash was updated to the most recent MS Dash whenever a soft mod was done, so that there was no auto-update that under the soft mod.. I've never encountered this issue before. At the very least someone should (have) throw together a fakey dash update that puts the "official" dash beyond the final update so that updaters don't try to do their thing..
