I am looking to get a NAS (this one http://www.welland.com.tw/html/network/740an.html#) to store all my media so I don't have to have my PC on all the time to stream stuff through my XBOX.
Is this model a good choice? Anyone had problems using a NAS with XBMC?

Well, I don't know about that one. But there are three of us who use Thecus N2100 NAS. I personally have 1TB in my NAS.

I use the World Book by Western Digital. It is on even with the PC off. Look around, you can find some for a good price. I have a 1tb, but will be looking for another when it is full. You can also piggy back another USB drive from it to make that drive on the NAS.

Aye but beware.. Western Digital MyBook ethernet drives.. slooow as slugs. The guy is right about it being on when the PC is off, but a spin-down feature would be ideal (save power). MyBook dosen't have this.
Once you have mybook all stocked up with goodies, it's fine. But writing data to it over ethernet (100) takes mega-mega-long.

The Thecus boxes have:
- Spindown
- ITunes server (DAAP)
- Multimedia Sever (Audio, Video, Pictures)
- Wiki
- Can have up to 3 USB drives attached (as well what's inside)
- can be wireless via Min-PCI/USB Stick
- Now can act as IP Camera Server (USB Camera required)
basically they can be upgraded via modules.
