Post by: imnthematrix on May 13, 2003, 06:03:00 AM
Can I upgrade the memory ram in the xbox ? If so who does this and about how much does it cost? Is there any big advantages to doing this upgrade? Thanks for the info.

can be done, hard to do, not a big advantage since the xbox games only support 64 meg.

yes a guy here done it a few ago. the only advantage you can take is in linux and apps, games can't take advantage of it,take the additional memory modules from a broken xbox mobo.

Also I heard its a bitch to solder those ram chips on to the mothboard, considering the pins are so small. You need a very fine tip soldering iron, and alot of experience.
