ZsnexBox is the best SNES emulator since SNES9Xbox's software filters don't work and there is no 4 player support for games like Bomberman. If these SNES9Xbox issues were fixed then it would be the better of the two by far.

Damn... is the script not working?  I also realized that I forgot to put updated datfiles in there too.

It should work just by dumping the roms into the same folder as the bat after you've renamed them to the same names I have.  It should work just double clicking the bat.  I did some light testing and it seemed to work just fine, but I didn't try duping the entire romset.

This is definitely a "Beta" thing.

Haha... If you ever do, you'll probably see it for about 3 seconds before you switch it.   cool.gif

Oh, no. Rx...

I mean the script to revert the screenshot folders back to Zsnexbox style.
How does that work?

So that they say this instead:
QUOTE
F:\Media\SNES\Artwork\Box Front
F:\Media\SNES\Artwork\Titles
F:\Media\SNES\Artwork\Action
F:\Media\SNES\Artwork\Cart

And if you wanted to, you could make the last four directories look like this:
QUOTE
F:\Media\SNES\Artwork\Misc01
F:\Media\SNES\Artwork\Misc02
F:\Media\SNES\Artwork\Misc03
F:\Media\SNES\Artwork\Misc04

I only have Misc01 with the teaser set.  It's a few alternate covers for games, but they're really not necessary.

Any chance of you adding your own version of the dats down the road MM?  I believe the SNES was one of the systems that people were having a  really tough time matching up with my romsets. If you were to make  alternate datfiles this time around, we'd only need one HUGE one now  that we have the romsorter script. No more messing around with 19  different SNES datfiles. laugh.gif
I really should... sleep.gif
I know that a SNES dat would be one of them most beneficiary to everyone.

Shouldn't be too tough...   Most of your stuff should be exact to mine.  I don't think I changed more than a handful of game names given the amount of side work involved for each one.  You'd probably only need to get the additional roms.

Let me know if I can help with anything.

EDIT:  Oh yeah... so let me know how everything goes man.  I haven't gotten much feedback in general yet and I still haven't heard anybody tell me that everything works as designed or what could be improved.

OK,
Yeah,  my original SNES dats should carry the bulk of what your new ones have. (of course.)
One concern would to fine any possible name changes on games I already have in there.

EDIT: Gotcha, I'll let you know how it goes when I work it all out some time soon here. Of course off hand, the pack looks great.

When using the cut files, the emulator path is:

<path>f:\emulators\(02) nintendo\snes\default.xbe</path>

Is this how the emulator directory should be from now on?

I usually have all the emu's in 1 Emulators folder. Can you show us how this new folder structure will look like?

What will (01), (03), (04) and so on be?

(01) ARCADES
(This is mixed up still.  I haven't really gotten to Arcades yet)

(02) Nintendo
GBA
N64
NES
POKEMINI
SNES  (XPORT)
SNES2 (ZSNESXBOX)
VIRTUALBOY

(03) SEGA
GENESIS
SEGAVMU
SMSGG

(04) ATARI
A2600
A7800
ATARI800
ATARIST (Will likely be removed from my setup; see below...)
LYNX

(05) SONY
PSX

(06) NEC
PCE

(07) PC DOS
DOS
SarienX (Sierra Games Player)
Scummvm (Maniac Mansion & Other Text Games)

(08) COLECO
ADAM

Other Emulators
AMIGA
CHIP8
INTELLIVISION
NGPC
ODYSSEY2
SUPERVISION
WONDERSWAN

I actually used XBMC then to rename the names displayed from the XBE files so the order is different from what you see within each "Company" name.  For instance, My SNES directory actually is in this order:
NES
SNES
SNES2
GBA
N64
VIRTUALBOY
POKEMINI

This doesn't matter though, as far as .CUT's are concerned.

As a side note, all other emulators I've removed from my setup.  They're located in a folder called "Unfinished Computer Emulators" that is only accessable from XBMC's filemanager.  I didn't want to clutter the Emulators section up with a bunch of unfinished/unstarted emulators.  These include the following:

Apple Mac Plus
APPLEIIGS
C64
CPC
MSX
MUGEN
PET
SPECTRUM
Thompson to7-70
TI99
VECTREX
VIC20
X68000

Don't fully understand this part. I know you can rename the xbe title, but how would you get the different order you have?

I did the same thing in XBMC.  Sorry for being confusing there.  I just showed you the folder name and not the edited XBE title in the example.

The XBE titles (not the file names) were changed to the following:

(1) Nintendo Entertainment System
(2.1) Super Nintendo [SNES9XBox]
(2.2) Super Nintendo [ZSNESXBox]
(3) Gameboy / GB Color / GB Advance
(4) Nintendo 64
(5) Virtual Boy
(6) Pokemon Mini

I used a very similar structure for renaming the XBE titles for the others (SEGA, ATARI, Etc.) as well.
