I Think My Xbox Spontaniously Died!
« on: November 30, 2003, 12:31:00 PM »

Ok, I modded my xbox with xecuter 2.2 lite, and i flashed it with 4977, and installed a new 80 gb HD. Everything was working correctly. I started playing project gotham 2, and turned off my xbox to go get lunch. I come back and start playing it again, and everything is still fine. THEN! it all of a sudden turned off. I turned it back on and it goes through the bios screen, and before it gets to EVOX, it restarts. IF I DONT HAVE THE EVOX DISC IN THE DVD DRIVE I GET ERROR 13 (cannont load dashboard) after it restarts itslef. If i have the disc in the drive, when it turns itself back on after it restarts it goes to the evox screen off the disc. IF the mod-chip is turned off the open disc button just flashes and i get a blank screen. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

If You Soldered it, recheck all your connections and check for Solder Splashes. If you used Pogo Pins, take some sand paper (fine grade) to the bottom of the pins, which will provide better connection with the d0 point.

I would check your IDE cable to see if it is damaged as that could be stopping it reading the HDD, also check that the jumpers are correct on both the HDD and the DVD.

I replaced the IDE cable with a different one from a different xbox and still the same problem and the jumpers are as they should be

Download Slayers 2.5 and reformat the drive, I reckon that should work ,if you can boot to an evox cd then slayers should work smile.gif
