Ummm, there's no way for us to know if it'll fit right in if we don't know what pc case you're using...it'll go right on the cpu no problem, it's just a matter of where the drives and such are in relation to it.

I don't see how it could NOT fit on the board, honestly. If the area where the original clipped down (the black plastic rectangle around the chip) is in the way, you can file that down. Other than that, there's not much else on the board itself that could get in the way. You might have to put it a little off center depending on what heatsink you've got on the gpu.

OK, thanks for your input guy. The reason i was asking is i read a thread that someone took off their Xbox heatsink to put on another and it didnt power on and when they put the original one back on it work. Just thought it had some detection on it or something. When i try it ill let you know and send pics.

Your not being a Dick. I build custom boxes for pepole in my local area and this person said they wanted something different. I can care less what in it, not my money, their paying for it. Yes it's 30.00 but my coast is 22.00.

lol, he's got a point, aesthetics are what 75% on this forum are for. While I personally don't like that heatsink, if that's what a client wants, that's what they get.

Thank cueball. Yeah, i wouldn't chose that one either. He has a plexie glass case so that would be good for that case cause everyone will see it.
