To All Out There

dopesun is probably a decent guy.  I don't really know him though

He has had the distinct pleasure of butting heads with me.  Which I'm sure is just a trip

I get stubborn sometimes - so this is probably most my fault

Completed a repair for Shawnmos

Another Gpu reball to get the Dashboard back

Plus I replaced the spindle motor in Dvd Drive.  The original was braking too hard when the disc was slowed.

These repairs done last week.  Shawnmos should have his system back on Monday

Hopefully he will leave his comments here about the work done

Completed a repair for chronotrigger681

He should have his console back in this home Thursday (6-28-12)

Repair was a Gpu chip reball

Did lots of cleaning to the main board, fans and dvd drive.

Oh- and a few minor Cooling Mods.  Nothing electrically based.

He was a real good customer to work with

Hi, just wanted to post on this thread to let everyone know that the reball by wilgo45 turned out fine and that my old Xenon xbox360 is now working once again.  He even fixed an issue with my DVD drive. biggrin.gif

Thanks!

Just recently, I failed on a repair for an Xbox Scene member:

That person is stoopidmnkey

He had a 0102 error to his console.  A basic text book reball should have corrected things.

Ended up - just ruined.  For the most part, I blame my IR machine.  Chinese hunk of crap

So at this time, I am suspending my work on bga chip repairs.  Got to get this situation squared away

Completed a repair for freakdaddy - (xbox scene member)

His household electronics took a knock from a lightning strike.

His 360 console went down in an E76 with that strike

I replaced his internet controller chip.  Now he's back to a normal working console.

Also checked his connection to the Internet and Xbox Live  .... all good there after repair

And - applied fresh compound to his main chip dies

... And - in the near future, I might look at various components from a TV of his.  That too got damaged in the lightning strike

Wilgo, your last post was about your crappy IR machine. Are you still using that machine?

hey

I didn't use that machine for the E76 repair.  Used other soldering tools for that.  The ICS chip is not a bga style

I re-used my ACHI IR for another repair just recently and it turned out fine.  But the main problem is the inconsistency of the machine.

I'm going to operate on my upper heater arm tonight.  Poke around in there... see if I can make some improvements.

I might have to switch out the IR ceramic for another built by the Germans.  The Chinese are known for making poor quality IR plates.

If I had to do it all over again, I would buy another, better machine.  There's still a chance I may send this thing back to the supplier.

Looks like I might have issues with my IR machine corrected.

Just completed a Gpu Reball repair that turned out successful.

The work was for IcyChill.  He had an E74.  Had to majorly clean the dvd drive and adjust the optic too

His 360 should be mailed out to him in the next few days
