 The kde patch seems to have failed... first try running

env-update && source /etc/profile

If this doesnt work, try

rm -rf /usr/portage/*
rm -rf /var/tmp/portage/*
~/magic fix kde && ~/magic

to try it again

 Could anyone explain to me how DHCP works? If possible, I would like to know how to set it up so that I can ssh. I'd really like to use GentooX because it seems to be an excellent distro, I just need to get a little help. If it helps any, I use a Alcatel USB Modem to connect to Fast Access DSL, and have one network card available for use. Thanks in advance!  biggrin.gif

 New versions of Gentoo are available for download...downloading now while at work and installing as soon as I get home.

Can't wait.

Seems you forgot the backslash after e:

nah its E:/

was a type, other suggetions?  smile.gif

Don't know if this was answered yet (many pages after this lol) but I had the same problem

if you're using flashfxp (ass) thats the problem

it doesn't seem to like any large file so it won't transfer to the xbox (you'll see rootfs there but it will be size 0)

so use a real ftp program and transfer rootfs over and gentoo will load

 SSH with the right ip... the strange artifacts on your screen can be fixed by running magic.
