Hello, I am going to purchase a PAL crystal(ver 1.4) and have a quickie for you fellas. From searching(and the help of explosive2) I learned I need a ver 1.2-1.5 PSU and the enigmah bootdisc (have it already) to convert it to NTSC, . My question is , do I have to load the disc EVERY time I play? I need it to permanently stay at NTSC, as I am going to sell the innards of this 1.4 as a NON-modchipped system. The guts of my 1.0(alladin live chipped) will go into my crystal, and I want to sell the new stuff in my slightly used led' xbox. I do not want to screw over my friend who is buying the system.

No, the Xbox will stay in NTSC forever unless you decide to change it to PAL.

If you want to make the Xbox permanently NTSC, as in output NTSC and only play US games then you will have to do a little fiddling, but it is possible.

Either 1, mod the system temporarily, change to NTSC and Region using Config Magic, then unmod or...

2, using software mods. Easiest is probably to use a save game hack and boot up Evox, FTP to Xbox, send over config magic, patched with xbedump (too big for memory card) and load it up, change to US region and NTSC output and then delete config magic afterwards if you want.

Yar, change of plans. Selling the old system and chip. I am just going to have the 1.4 out of the crystal chipped. After that, I can just run enigmah right???
