How hard/is it possible to change the LED that is in the xbox?  Instead of it being green, say I wanted to make it yellow or blue, is it possible?  Sorry if this has already been asked, I just didn't see a tutorial for it.

Check out Chuckles Tutorial.  He shows you how to do it.  It's actually two LEDs.  I replaced mine with blue LEDs in about 10 minutes.

Hehe, it's actually cool...  You will get one color on the left half of the eject button, and the other color on the right side!  If you tear apart and look, the LED's are actually mounted AWAY from the eject switch, and there is this semi-clear plastic that runs up to around the switch.  If you do different colors on each side, it will be split down the middle, vertically, with the two colors!  I figured this out when I replaced mine, and one side was grounding out against the RF shield...  Now you got me thinking, since I'm modding my case with a spiderman theme, half red, half blue might just kick ass! smile.gif

Don't forget to send us some pics, might spark some other ideas...  Heh, now I'm really thinking...  Tri-color blinking LEDs one each side, for that 70's retro groovy look... w00p!  :)

Once you have the top case off, the front bezel just pops off.  Gotta be a little manly with it, just be careful.  If memory servers right, it unclips from the underside of the case.  But yeah, the front bezel is a single piece that will just pop off...

Mine looked just like that when I popped the front bezel off?!  IF there is something covering it, I'm quite sure it's held on by little clips, just as the front bezel was (you can see some small ones in the picture around the PCB board), so just look around really good...

Small flathead screwdriver and some Jack Daniels-n-Coke worked for me!
