If it compiles let me know and I'll send you some minor changes to the source..

Not really open source if you can't compile it?

Maybe rmenhal might check in later ....

rmenhal  seems to have disappeared - his last post was months ago.

However I can tell you that he was a Linux user - so GCC is most likely.

I've just downloaded the distribution for driveimageutils-v1.0

and it contains

driveimageutils-v1.0\src\Makefile

(a text makefile) that confirms that it was built with Linux and GCC and contains all the necessary arguments.

This is nonsense...if you have a brain it compiles just fine. There should be 1 types.h in the src dir and a linux/types.h in the global search path, which contains the basic typedefs which almost ANY app uses.

Well search is your friend ... ok maybe not so obvious here. But I found this.

http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=395876

Including a line in ldscript.ld

   *(.rodata.*);

after

   *(.rodata);

(almost) fixed the compilation for me with gcc 3.3.3 under a Fedora Core 2 linux system.

The Makefile produces attach.xbe  detach.xbe  shadowcmaker.xbe and then gives an error on vsprintf.c needed for backup.xbe.

I have not tested the produced xbe files.

Okay brainiac go for it, and let me know how you get on.

If you had a sense of humour you wouldn't have bothered with your pointless flame, I had tried nasm and it didn't work, based on Kingroach GCC seemed to fail also.... but I wasn't going to sit and wait to be spoonfed an answer on this.
