well infinuim labs looks like they are really following through with there console, they even have a preorder page up on the website, supposedly the console is expected sometime near october. they have a new video up on their page, although it doesn't show the actually console, just computer rendered images. it will have a 3 ghz intel processor and dolby 7.1 surround. it didn't happen to say what amount or ram. 100 gig hdd. no disk drives of any kind. all games will be downloaded via broadband connect. the dashboard interface looks awsome and is built off of the XP embeded kernel.
it has rca jacks in the back as well as usb ports. it also has wireless keyboard/mouse and 1 wireless controller that will come with the system. it really doesn't look all that bad. the only thing i don't like about it is that you have to download the games. you can rent, demo, and buy all your games right through the system.
it supports pc games, and i'm assuming will have a few games of its own. it come preloaded with a few games that will supposedly be good, but i'm doubting that.

I did sign up for beta testing and I do believe that there is another topic that has been setup regarding the supposed NEXT GENERATION Console.

still...i downloaded the preview and they did a really good job on the video itself...even if the console is a bomb i will still watch the video because its cool

100 GIG HD storage....upgradeable to 3.0 GHZ with 256 DDR RAM....wireless networking and controllers, etc., how much is this thing going to cost?

i didn't see the thread in the other section, of corse it does fit better here. plus the offtopic section fills threads way to quick, with in a few hours you could be up to 8 pages worth of crap, mainly people saying pointless things such as "cool" or "oh yeah i saw that, then you have to sort throught all the garbage and blah blah blah...

It doesnt have 3.0 ghz, it is capable of having 3.0, and its all upgradeable. Its probably gonna have about 1 ghz on release!

I think when you buy one you chose what specs you want in it. Thats probly why its only avalible online. That means the price depends on what you want in your system.
