Fake S Type Pads?
« on: June 14, 2011, 08:52:00 AM »

They sound fake to me. First off, they should have a quick release connector and on the top of the plug it should say "microsoft" and secondly you should also see "microsoft" on the controller between the two memory card slots.

The information by the above poster is accurate and if they were sold as official you should file a claim with paypal and either try to return them or get a portion of your money back.

Just checked my official controllers, it should read "xbox" on the male end of the quick release connector not "microsoft"

I think you meant "Xbox" not "Microsoft" is written on the main controller plug not the in-line quick release plug.

The latter has a few random letters and a line up mark but no manufacturer name or logo that I can find, at least on the controllers I've just checked. I know they're all genuine official ones too because they came with the three Xboxes I've bought new.
