Points to ponder:

Not all softmods let you use large drives. NDure will.

Currently XBPartitioner lets you have up to 512gb per partition (by using 32kb clusters). You can use other programs to format the drive initially (so you can get the X-Box booting at least), just make sure to go back and reformat F: "correctly" before actually loading too much data on there.

I used Krayzie's Ndure Installer 1.1.1 to soft mod my xbox what's the biggest hard drive I can put in it?

I would love to have a 500GB in there, science my DVD drive is going bad. sad.gif

Thanks for the info.

Define 'bad' for dvd drive. Cannot read disc or your xbox need Service screen. If not 1.6 xbox, might want to look at tsop flashing, makes hdd upgrade easier and you can boot without a dvd drive at all. You can't do that with any softmod.

500Gb will work with Krayzie's Ndure. But you'll need to format F/G drive(s) with xbpartitioner.

I guess I shouldn't say my DVD drive is going bad it just don't read games or any DVD'S/ back ups too well and it seems to be getting worse..
I have the dreaded Thompson DVD drive. dry.gif and I hate it! dry.gif
