YES! I didn't know that until 3 months later when I was billed $24 dollars. They will continue to charge you the monthly price ($8.00) until you call and CANCEL your subscription. Microsoft customer support claims this to be "convenient to the consumer" they say. It's horribe I think to charge without your knowledge. So, after the moth is up, please remember to call and cancel the subscription. You wont loose anything, your LIVE account just switches to Silver again. Also, I could never find a way to remove my credit card from my profile so I bought one of those pre-payed Visa's and entered that as my credit card
